Rational Animations
Rational Animations is an educational Youtube channel that focuses on AI skepticism, literacy, governance, and education. Ira is currently employed on this team to do storyboarding, animation and occasional compositing and asset creation.
Florida Film Festival 2024 Bumper
The FFF 2024 bumper is a 1 minute 2D animated and multimedia short commissioned by the Enzian and made in partnership with Dinner Bot Studios and Johnny Knittle. The bumper was used in advertising for the festival and shown at the beginning of each film block. Ira provided animation, asset creation and compositing for this project with backgrounds and additional assets provided by Hané Harnett.
Un-Portalable! (trailer)
Un-Portalable is a 5 minute, animated short film completed as part of Ira’s 2022 MFA Thesis. The film is an exploration of narrative mixed media with a focus on 2D character animation and relational design. An in depth look at the design theory and creation process of Un-Portalable can be found in corresponding thesis archive for the project.
Dans Crapaud
“Dans Crapaud” is a French translation for the words “in toad”. This was a short project done in collaboration with Johnny Knittle. The film was completed in one week as part of an informal, community-driven animation festival with the theme “obstacle”. Ira created and composited all visual components for this project.
